I was reading Bryan's latest Baltimoronica post and it got me thinking about the impending move of the Montreal Expos to D.C. Now I know that this move is grossly unpopular in Baltimore and Maryland, but I really don't care. I know that sounds pretty cold hearted but who gave them the right to dictate what D.C. and Virginia can and can't do. The main argument against the Expos moving to D.C. is just self-serving rhetoric from fans who still can't get over the Colts leaving Baltimore. "Our market it too small to support two teams" and "We're going to lose TV revenue". My response? Tough luck. Baltimore, Angelos, and Orioles have no right in deciding whether or not we get a team in D.C. Why should we have to sit in traffic for 4 hours on friday afternoons to see a nightgame in Baltimore? Why should we have to spend more money on gas and parking than on the game itself?? If Baltimore can't sustain a team from it's city and state population then it shouldn't have one. Maryland and Balimtore are rightly looking out for their best interests, and D.C./NOVA should do the same. If we can support the Wizards and Skins then we should have no problem supporting the Expos (I left out the Caps because who knows when they're going to play again and nobody really cares about hockey anyway). O's fans need to stop worrying about the Expos and start worrying about the idiot that they have running their franchise. Maybe the silver lining for O's fans is that Angelos will fianlly do the fans some good and sell the team....
Agreed on all counts.

I have nothing to say on the Expos, but wanted to say hello, and tell you that I love your blog! I've only seen it one other time, but if you update it more often, I'll visit it regularly ;-)
hope you're doing well... hope to see you soon?
