I've been getting IM's the last few days demanding "fresh content" so I guess I'll oblige. I'm actually at the beach for the weekend, visiting Joe in Duck, NC, which is in the Outer Banks for those of you not from the east coast. Should be a awesome weekend as the weather is starting to heat up and no rain for-casted for the weekend. Boozing and the beach will likely be the focal point of the weekend, hopefully with a few more encounters with the girl that works at the farm stand down the road from Joe's crib. Beach, booze, and girls....no greater combination exists.
As for what I do with my time when I'm not at the beach, I've started my internship at SFX Sports Group in DC and so far it's going really well. The people are super-chill and everything I do involves sports so the job is perfectly suited for me. Mostly I do PR stuff for out tennis, golf, baseball, and basketball players; writing press releases, working on our website (www.sfxsports.com check out the Athlete of the Week cuz usually I write the piece), creating player bios and press kits, and pretty much anything else that the marketing people and agents need to represent our clients. This past week was relatively light so we spent a lot of time just watching Wimbledon because a lot of our tennis players are competing in the event. Things should get rather hectic soon though because we run the Leg Mason tennis tournament in DC that is held the first week of August and I'm going to have the opportunity to work a lot on the event which should be an awesome experience.
Well like I said, I'm at the beach and the weather couldn't better so it's time to get outside. I'll post again about the weekend when I get home. Peace!
